Diversify - Sweden


Representing the Anna Lindh Foundation Network for the Dialogue between Cultures we’re glad to have Rasha Shaaban in the Panel of Diversify! An inspiring guest speaker!

Rasha Shaaban is from Alexandria and is currently based in Gothenburg. She did her Masters studies in Leadership for Sustainability at Malmö University. Right now, she is working at Världskulturmuseet (National Museums of World Culture) as the coordinator of the Anna Lindh Foundation Network in Sweden. The Anna Lindh Foundation Network brings together around 100 members of civil society who work for the promotion of intercultural dialogue with their counterparts in 42 Euro-Med countries. Also, Rasha is the leader of the regional project WoMidan (WoMen of the Square) which aims at empowering women activism for social change. She has been engaged in development work with civil society in the Euro-Med Region since 2005. She organised cultural festivals in Tunisia (Bab El Bahr), Egypt (Farah El Bahr) and Sweden (Baobab Festival) with local and international artists from the Euro-Med Region. Not to forget that Rasha is also a DJ with a big passion for House and Electro Sha’abi music.
